The AQUIS®
story begins in 1990, when entrepreneur Britta Cox discovered a
revolutionary microfiber fabric with a unique feel and function. It was
luxuriously soft and lightweight while being super absorbent due to its
extraordinary wicking capability. Having long hair and always short on time,
Britta was immediately excited by the possibilities of a fabric specifically
designed to dry hair faster, and in a healthy way. Therefore, she founded
Britanne Corporation and began developing and launching the products under
the brand name, AQUIS® using the revolutionary AQUITEX® material.
Within a year of introducing AQUIS® towels to the United States, customers
quickly caught on to the many benefits of the product. Because AQUIS® towels
dry hair five times faster than ordinary towels, it not only saves you time,
but it also saves your hair from the harsh effects of a blow dryer. Due to
the great response and immense popularity of AQUIS® towels, further research
and development was immediately conducted to discover other applications for
the unique fiber.
Since 1990 the AQUIS® product assortment has grown from a single hair towel
to include nearly 90 products. Some of our most popular products include our
patented hair turban, bath and body towels, robes and bath wraps, and the
sport & travel towels to name a few. In 2002, we branched out into the pet
market with the Doggie Dryer®. We have also delved into the "teen and tween"
market with the introduction of Mimi's Diva DryerTM.
Today, AQUIS® products are found in top retailers across the USA. Britanne
Europe N.V. was established in Antwerp, Belgium in 1996 to offer AQUIS® to
the European community. We have enjoyed a tremendous reception from
countries all over the world.
With more than 12 years of experience in the manufacturing of AQUITEX®, we
